Her Story
About Christina
I started in healthcare in 2011 at my local hospital as Volunteer Services Coordinator managing over 200 volunteers. After the role changed, I transitioned to health information management, learned all positions, became ATIM coordinator, then HIM manager. I earned my RHIT, then a bachelor's in Health Information Administration from Shasta College as part of the first cohort, followed by my RHIA. I later obtained an MBA from National University. I progressed to Director of Patient Affairs, worked at Ochsner, and now serve as Compliance and Privacy Manager and Privacy Officer at Central Health since July 2023. My drive comes from wanting to set an example for my kids.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Perseverance is important, not to give up on their dreams themselves, but to lean on other people for support, because it's hard to do it by yourself, and it's okay to ask for that help. But to keep persevering and stay strong and work towards what they want to, because they can get to where they need to if they just have faith in themselves. I'm a big believer in God.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Faith, family, and friends are the most important values to me.
