Her Story

About Christina

I started my sales career in 2014 after graduating from the University of Iowa, where I was a college athlete playing tennis. That competitive drive from the tennis court translated perfectly into sales. I began in sports hospitality, cold calling C-level executives around the world and selling big-ticket sporting events like the Masters, the Super Bowl, and the U.S. Open Tennis with hospitality packages. If you sold enough, you got to attend the events, which was huge motivation for me being so sports-focused. After proving myself, I was asked to move to London for 2 years, where I led the London office handling recruiting, building culture, and selling European sporting events to C-level executives. That experience of moving overseas, not knowing anyone, and getting out of my comfort zone was one of the most pivotal moments in my career. After that, I spent 4 years at Uber Eats as a manager, where my team brought restaurants onto the platform, so I saw the supply side of the restaurant business. Now at EzCater for the past 3 years, I'm on the demand side as an Enterprise AE Manager, managing a team of 6 enterprise sellers who work with corporations across the U.S. It's all come full circle in the hospitality and employee perks space, which I'm passionate about.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The biggest thing I would say is be confident. You deserve to be in the room. Tell us what's special about you, and be yourself. Being in a very male-dominated world in sales, I always stood out as wanting to be myself and making sure that I was still a voice in the room, even though I was a woman. So the biggest thing is just continue being yourself, continue speaking up, and make sure your voice is heard in your room.
