Christina “Tina” Eckley is a novelist and former corporate sales leader whose career spans more than two decades in client-facing sales, account management, and business development. After a successful tenure with Pitney Bowes and earlier roles in publishing and advertising, Tina retired from corporate life and redirected her discipline, insight, and storytelling instincts toward fiction writing. Since 2021, she has worked as a freelance novelist, currently developing Malady, a work of mystery and intrigue, while dedicating herself fully to the craft of writing.

Drawing from a strong business foundation and lived experience, Tina’s creative work centers on historical fiction—particularly stories of 18th-century women who built independent lives, financial security, and personal agency in restrictive social climates. Her writing explores themes of self-reliance, identity, and the balance between ambition and personal fulfillment, reflecting both her professional background and her thoughtful perspective on life after retirement. Though unpublished to date, she approaches her writing with the same rigor and commitment that defined her sales career.

Based in the Midwest on a family farm, Tina embraces a lifestyle rooted in discipline, health, and generational connection. Alongside her writing, she is developing a family-based smoked salmon and specialty foods venture tied to her children’s commercial fishing work in Alaska. Whether through fiction, food, or community involvement, Tina Eckley continues to build meaningful legacies—proving that reinvention can be both purposeful and deeply rewarding.

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my father’s early encouragement and the steady support of my husband, both of whom instilled confidence, resilience, and the freedom to pursue ambitious goals.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Find and follow your own path with courage—pursue what genuinely inspires you, create an environment that supports your growth, and never allow traditional expectations to limit who you can become.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are family, discipline, and balance—nurturing strong connections with loved ones while maintaining health, purpose, and a grounded, fulfilling life. I also value self-reliance and creativity, expressed through farming, artisan foods, and hands-on projects that bring family and work together.
