About Christina
Christina Egan serves as Clinic Manager 3 at the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio, where she oversees a multi-specialty clinic that includes eight different specialties, primarily driven by primary care along with nephrology and endocrinology. In her daily role, she ensures adequate staffing, reviews provider and staff schedules to accommodate patient volume, and collaborates with leadership in ambulatory settings to maintain high standards in patient care and access. Egan began her management career as an office manager for a group of academic providers, handling staff oversight, scheduling, payroll, vacations, and office operations before a stint in pharmaceuticals working on a cancer vaccine. After that position was eliminated, she returned to the University of Toledo as clinic manager. She holds a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration from Mercy in Toledo and an MBA from William Woods University in Missouri, completed online. Egan has implemented team-building initiatives such as mocktail hours featuring snacks and exercises like two truths and a lie or office-themed Family Feud to boost morale among staff and providers.
