Her Interview
Ten minutes with Christina
01What do you attribute your success to?
I give a great deal of credit to my husband. He has been incredibly supportive and has taken on a major role in managing our household and caring for our four children. When our children were younger, he consistently made sure their schedules and needs were covered, which gave me the flexibility and support I needed to pursue my career and build my business.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering real estate is simple: don't stop talking, and stay connected to your sphere. Pick up the phone, reach out, and continue building relationships. Communication and consistent contact are incredibly important in a relationship-driven business.
At the same time, understand that some people within your sphere may hesitate to work with you because they feel uncomfortable having someone they know personally involved in their private business. Don't take that personally. Continue nurturing your relationships, remain professional, and keep putting yourself out there.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I particularly value the opportunity to work with first-time homebuyers. I love seeing young people who work hard, often entering union jobs right out of high school, save their money responsibly, and eventually purchase their own homes.
Their determination and commitment are meaningful to me. Helping these buyers navigate such an important milestone and turn their hard work into homeownership is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
