Her Story

About Christina

Christina Frazer serves as Human Resources Manager at MANN+HUMMEL, an air filtration manufacturing company based in Wilson, North Carolina, where she has built her career since joining the organization in 2020. Over the course of roughly six years in the manufacturing sector, she has taken on a wide-ranging role that spans benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, training and development, business partnering, and workforce staffing decisions. Before entering HR, Christina spent nearly a decade in retail with Best Buy, an experience that unexpectedly steered her away from an earlier goal of becoming a pediatrician and toward a career centered on supporting people and strengthening workplace culture.

Christina's academic path reflects a steady investment in her own growth: she began at Nash Community College, then went on to complete a bachelor's degree in business management with a human resources certificate, followed by a master's degree in industrial and organizational psychology, both through the University of Phoenix. She is now working toward her SHRM certification, continuing to build on a foundation that already includes deep expertise in workplace behavior and organizational effectiveness. Her career has been marked by recognition as well, including a 2015 Sales Achiever award from her retail years and being named Employee of the Quarter at her current company.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Christina remains active in her community as an ambassador for the Wilson County Chamber of Commerce and a participant in its Executive Leadership Class of 2027, where she is helping organize a service initiative with Waymakers. As a single mother of two, she balances her career with family life, staying involved in outdoor activities, sports, and her church community. Guided by a belief that success is rarely achieved alone, Christina credits mentorship and teamwork as central to her growth, and she hopes to pass that same encouragement on to young women just starting out in human resources.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I owe much of my success to the people around me. I've never believed in going it alone, and I make a point of drawing on the knowledge and experience of a strong team, learning from seasoned leaders, and staying open to new perspectives along the way.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I've received is to never try to do it all by myself. I've learned to lean on the team and resources around me, using everyday challenges as opportunities to keep growing.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I'd encourage young women entering this field to hold onto a positive, growth-oriented mindset no matter what challenges come up. I truly believe everything happens for a reason, and that obstacles are simply part of how we grow and learn.
