About Christina

Christina Goodmiller is a relationship-driven operations leader supporting tax and accounting professionals, with 16 years of experience helping teams create structure, clarity, and confidence in their work. She currently serves as Regional Senior Manager for the administrative support team in Northern and Southern California, as well as Firmwide Tax Administration at Baker Tilly US, where she provides leadership across multiple regions and helps create the support, organization, and collaboration teams need to do their best work.

Christina began her career with Henry+Horne after graduating from college and continued with the organization following its merger with Baker Tilly. Her passion for the industry grew from the opportunity to support people, strengthen operations, and help create the structure teams need to succeed. Over time, her career evolved into a leadership path focused on operations, tax administration, process improvement, team development, and helping people feel confident, supported, and empowered in their work.

Throughout her career, Christina has been passionate about mentoring and coaching professionals. She takes pride in helping team members grow in confidence, recognize their strengths, strengthen their skills, and pursue meaningful career goals. Her leadership philosophy is grounded in collaboration, clear communication, empowerment, compassion, and leading with positive intent. She believes effective leaders create opportunities for others to succeed, and she strives to be a champion for her teams by fostering an environment where people feel supported, trusted, and set up for success.

Outside of work, Christina has a strong focus on personal well-being, which includes practicing yoga and creating space to recharge, stay grounded, and maintain perspective. She believes this balance helps her show up fully for herself and the people around her. In both her professional and personal life, she leads with compassion, integrity, and care, believing that how we treat people matters just as much as what we accomplish.

Through her combination of professional experience, people-centered leadership, and commitment to empowering others, Christina continues to make a meaningful impact by helping teams embrace change, work together with clarity, and see the value in the contributions they make.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Christina

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to taking ownership, building strong relationships, and staying committed to growth — not just my own growth, but the growth of the people around me. I’ve always believed that success is not something we achieve alone. The strongest leaders are the ones who create clarity, build trust, and help others see what they are capable of. When people feel supported, empowered, and connected to the impact they make, success becomes something the whole team shares.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I ever received was to take ownership of my own path. No one else can define your growth, your attitude, or your impact for you. That advice shaped the way I lead because I try to help others see that they have more influence over their future than they may realize.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell them: don’t wait until you feel completely ready to step forward. Some of the biggest growth happens when you say yes to the challenge, ask the question, or share the idea. Surround yourself with people who challenge you, support you, and remind you of your value. And most importantly, be the kind of leader you would want to follow.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges right now is the pace of change. Teams are being asked to adapt quickly, improve processes, and deliver results, often while navigating uncertainty. But I also see that as one of the greatest opportunities. When leaders communicate clearly, create structure, and support their people through change, teams become more resilient and more engaged. The opportunity is not just to improve operations, but to help people feel confident and connected while doing it.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are integrity, ownership, compassion, and growth. I believe in doing what I say I’m going to do, taking responsibility for my impact, and treating people with respect and care. In both my work and personal life, I want people to feel heard, supported, and encouraged to become their best. For me, leadership is not just about achieving results — it’s about how you make people feel and how you help them grow along the way.
