Ten minutes with Christina

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would attribute it to my hometown, Pennsauken. The people who I, the community that I had, you know, the people who pushed me, my coaches, Coach Sharon, Coach Sean, Coach Smiggs, definitely. My aunt, my Aunt Peaches, she's literally supported me through everything, helped me get through everything. Of course, my parents. But definitely the community in the town that I grew up in definitely made me who I am, and definitely, like, made me, like, want to be someone more.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice that I have ever received I would so, it's more so of a burst, I would say. And I don't know if I would really, like, say it was just career-focused, but basically, like, how the verse kind of goes, like, the pain you're feeling can't compare to the joy that's coming, so, like, applying it to, like, my career field, basically, like, even though the work becomes too much, or, like, something is really hard, or, like, something is, like, you know, stressing you out, getting it done and, you know. Once you get it done, It'll be worth it all in the end.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say to just keep going. Like, think again, going back to that verse, the thing you're feeling can't compare to the joy that's coming, there will be obstacles, there will be things that'll, like, you know, life will throw things your way, but you just have to be resilient. You have to overcome it, because it'll be worth it in the end. Also, be optimistic. Be optimistic. Things are better when you have a better perspective and a better outlook on life.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Value is definitely God, faith is my number one, and two, I like to keep my friends and my family close, of course. I feel like those are common, but those are definitely big ones to me.
