Her Interview
Ten minutes with Christina
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would say hard work and being willing to learn new things from different sources whether it be people that have been in the industry a long time or even new people coming in. I like to look at different perspectives on things and learn from my peers or people that I find to be knowledgeable and valuable. So I never stop learning.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would always tell them to find someone that will embrace you as a mentor because I think that's huge. Find those mentors or different mentors in your field or even outside your field that can just give you basic strategies on what's working for them because I like to cross-pollinate in different fields.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty for sure. I always want to be honest with people and I like the honest feedback. That is huge for me. Along with that would be support. We sometimes don't have enough support in our roles at work and at home. I always find that when I get that kind of support whether they're telling me what I did wrong or what I'm doing right you kind of need a balance of both.
