Christina Raphael, RD, LDN, is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CSR Nutrition, a clinical nutrition consulting firm based in West Palm Beach, Florida. Under her leadership, CSR Nutrition delivers comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) services for skilled nursing facilities, long-term care, assisted living, and group home environments. The organization is recognized for its outcomes-driven approach to clinical nutrition, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, survey readiness, and continuity of care. Christina’s leadership focuses on integrating dietitians as essential members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve both clinical and operational outcomes.
A Registered Dietitian with extensive clinical and operational experience, Christina brings a well-rounded background in healthcare nutrition management, foodservice operations, and corporate consulting. Her work spans high-risk nutrition intervention, PDPM-aligned documentation practices, cost control initiatives, and workforce retention strategies within clinical nutrition departments. She completed her dietetic residency and clinical rotations to become a Registered Dietitian and has consistently applied her expertise to strengthen systems of care, improve patient outcomes, and support healthcare organizations in achieving sustained compliance and excellence.
Her educational journey includes academic training at Keiser University and Montclair State University, and she is currently pursuing a master’s degree through Arizona State University. Beyond her academic and professional accomplishments, Christina remains actively engaged in executive and community leadership roles, serving on organizational boards and contributing to mission-driven initiatives. Learn when to say no. She believes that not every opportunity is the right opportunity, and that protecting your values is essential for long-term success.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
For women entering the industry, her advice is to know their worth and recognize the unique strengths they bring to the workplace. She highlights women’s intelligence, dedication, resilience, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to lead and multitask effectively.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges facing dietitians today is the lack of recognition and compensation despite the critical role nutrition plays in preventing disease and reducing nutrition related hospital readmissions. She believes dietitians must continue advocating for themselves and demonstrating the measurable impact of their work. At the same time, she sees tremendous opportunities in the growing public awareness of nutrition, the expansion of telehealth services, and increased access to nutrition care through insurance coverage. She remains optimistic about the future of the profession and hopes registered dietitians will continue to gain the recognition they deserve.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values she considers most important in both her professional and personal life are kindness, honesty, compassion, humanity, and positivity. She emphasizes that while clinical skills can be taught, qualities such as integrity, empathy, and the ability to bring hope to people during difficult times cannot.
