Her Story
About Christina
I started Redirected Paths Coaching in January as a mindset coach specifically serving advanced college students. I help them overcome self-confidence challenges while juggling their career and educational goals. Through a lot of faith and prayer, I realized I wanted to work solely with college students because they are the next generation and represent an untapped group that really needs guidance and support right now. I'm a believer that anything is possible, and I want to make sure all these outside factors don't prohibit them from moving forward. Alongside my coaching practice, I've been with E-Trade Financial for over 4 years as a financial advisor and broker. My position has grown to include responsibilities in recruiting, training, and working with their mitigation team to ensure appropriate protocols and processes are managed throughout the firm. I also serve as a consultant for Paparazzi, a women-led organization where I host pop-ups and attend events throughout my community empowering women through affordable jewelry. Additionally, I work with Lumina of Hope, a nonprofit organization that mentors and provides financial relief for parents and families who have children with disabilities. Last December, I was diagnosed with cancer, and now that I'm on the other side of that, it has given me so much more of a breath to make sure I'm doing my part in this world. I'm one of the fortunate ones, and as a faith-filled woman, I know that anything is possible. That experience is the reason why I wake up every day with the why I want to coach other people to keep pressing on. I come from a long-standing family line that believes in hard work and showing up, and that consistency is the foundation of who I am and what I bring to work every day.

Ten minutes with Christina
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the consistency and hard work that runs through my family line. I come from a long-standing family that just believes in hard work and showing up, and being brought into a family that believes in those values is the foundation of who I embody and what I believe in when I come to work every day. Beyond that, I truly believe in the power of networking and building connections as a way to fast-track your life and see the full meaning of what you can do when you surround yourself with powerful people who can encourage and motivate you to do the same. I also have to credit my influential and powerful mentors who have gotten me to this place. I don't think I would be where I am without them, especially Jennifer Perry, who has been such a support and helped me push through the fear of getting out there and being an entrepreneur and starting my own business.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would just tell her, just do it. And if you fall, you still have the capacity to get back up and keep filling in. Don't be afraid to take that leap and start, because even when things are hard, you can push through and keep moving forward.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Service to others is everything to me. I am a woman of service, and I will continue to serve with every heartbeat of anyone that I could help. I've always been that person. I believe that we're all connected in so many ways, and we're all trying to figure this thing out called life. We have so much in common that we can help each other along the way. My faith is also central to who I am. I'm a faith-filled woman who knows that anything is possible, and with a lot of faith and prayer, I've been led to this point. I also deeply value consistency and hard work, which I learned from my family. Being able to tell my story and encourage people that they can do it, despite the odds, despite the hard, is the reason why I wake up every day. I believe that if I'm put somewhere, I'm meant to do it for a reason, and we're put into situations just to show us that we can really do things and we shouldn't be afraid to do them.
