Her Interview
Ten minutes with Christina
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being driven, working hard, and continuously pushing myself to grow. A major part of my journey has been proving myself despite past obstacles, staying committed to learning, and seeking opportunities for training and improvement. Most importantly, I believe success comes from focusing on creating a meaningful impact and helping others.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received came from my father, who told me, “Read the book and then watch the movie.” This taught me the importance of doing my own research, forming my own opinions, and developing independent judgment before accepting someone else’s perspective.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering this industry to lead with confidence, recognize their own strengths, and stay determined. Mistakes will happen, but what matters is showing up the next day ready to learn, improve, and start again with the same commitment.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is navigating a complex regulatory environment with changing state and city laws. There are also additional barriers and stigma connected to past convictions that can create unnecessary challenges. Another important responsibility is ensuring that customers receive safe and thoughtful recommendations, especially when considering medications and individual health conditions.
At the same time, there are many opportunities, including the development of new product formats and formulations that can significantly improve people’s quality of life. I also see an opportunity to train teams to provide more personalized, informed, and compassionate care.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me most are helping others, making a measurable impact, and leading by example. I value determination, compassion, and creating environments where people feel supported and included. These values influence both my professional work and my personal decisions, including choosing a place where my family can thrive in a more supportive and progressive environment.
