Christina Williams Woodard is an accomplished saxophonist and dedicated music educator with over three decades of experience performing and teaching. Based in Houston, Texas, Christina has built a dynamic career as a freelance musician, captivating audiences with her soulful saxophone performances and versatile musical style. She is passionate about creating music that resonates emotionally, as demonstrated by her recent single, “Can’t Stop,” a heartfelt tribute to her late friend and fellow HBU alum, Andre White, which highlights her skill in blending jazz, blues, and funk into compelling musical narratives.

A graduate of Houston Christian University with a Bachelor of Music Performance in Saxophone, Christina also holds a Music Certification EC-12 from the University of Houston. Her educational background and extensive performance experience have allowed her to mentor countless students, instilling both technical proficiency and a deep appreciation for the art of music. Christina’s commitment to music education is reflected in her recognition as a 2022 Nominee for Teacher of the Year at Hinojosa Primary, demonstrating her ability to inspire the next generation of musicians.

Throughout her career, Christina has been recognized for her artistry and influence within the jazz community. She was a 2023–2024 nominee for Female Jazz Performer at the Black Music Awards, showcasing her talent as both a performer and a composer.
