Her Interview
Ten minutes with Christine
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being determined. Sometimes when there hasn't been opportunities, I would look for other opportunities in life and try to make sure I'm working on different projects. A lot of my career I was in college and working at the same time which was difficult but making sure I'm striving for my success long-term has always been my main focus and just working hard to achieve that every day.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
My parents and my brother have always pushed me to strive for excellence and good grades and making sure that I think about my future and how it's not for them it's always gonna be everything I do is for me and it's gonna impact my future in one way or form so making sure I always think about my future self when I'm doing something whether I want to be like strive today and the next day I'm not at full capacity like give that extra energy or push to get it done efficiently because of just my performance could affect me in my role or in school whatever the case is so I'll be thinking of my future self and my career.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say make sure that you know exactly kind of an idea of what you want to go into long-term. There's internship programs that let you scope around and have meetings with different departments. If real estate's your interest make sure to kind of passport around each department early on in your career. Try to get to know what their main focus on and then combine it to what seems most relevant with your personality and interest because that'll help you just determine early if this is the right fit and being able to get your career started in the right area is essential.
