About Christine
Christine Brady serves as President of the Americas Foundation (Fundacion de las Americas) and General Director of the La Esperanza Schools in Tijuana, a role she has held for 37 years. She holds a physics degree from Princeton and a master's degree in engineering from Stanford. After her daughter was born, Brady began volunteering in a Tijuana orphanage, which led her to found the Americas Foundation to support community development and education in the area. The foundation established three schools, a kindergarten, elementary school, and a Saturday program for teenagers, all incorporating a full arts curriculum alongside academics. Brady, who lives in Chula Vista, CA, raises funds, manages school operations, and promotes the programs, including festivals celebrating Mexican and international cultures. She is a former president of the Princeton Club of San Diego and advocates for performing arts through Pro Performing Arts Chula Vista. Her background in ballet and music informs her emphasis on arts in education, and she speaks Spanish to communicate effectively with the community.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received was from the father of one of my classmates from Princeton. He said, put yourself in the position that you want to be in, even if you're not getting any money. We're not being paid to do it. And that's actually what I did with the foundation.
