And become more expert and you're able to share your expertise that, that you learned over a lifetime to a younger generation.What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?Christine E. Greene: Advice I would give to younger women, um, chasing their dreams, get the education that's needed for your dream and be patient.

Her Story

About Christine

Christine Greene owns and operates Caricatures by Chris Greene, where she works as a caricaturist creating live caricatures for parties and events as well as custom gift caricatures, sign-in boards, and books from photographs. She began her artistic career by majoring in textile design at Moore College of Art in Philadelphia and, after graduation, spent seven years designing patterns for sportswear at textile companies in New York City's garment center, including Lowenstein and Sons and Schwartz and Lieben Textiles. She started her caricature business in the 1980s, formally establishing it around 1986 after moving to Syosset, New York, and has since built a practice that also includes gallery work. Greene belongs to the National League of American Pen Women Long Island Branch, the Suburban Art League, and serves as president of the Independent Arts Society. She has received badges from The Bash for the most reviews as well as awards of excellence and merit for her paintings, and she occasionally demonstrates her techniques at local art leagues.

Follow your heart and get the training you need to achieve your dream

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Put up a good website and good Social Media connections with Google, Facebook and Instagram

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Competing with other companies offering similar service since It's so easy to find anything on Google.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I am religious so I live by my Christian values of Honesty and integrity in business and my personal life.
