Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received is probably don't take no for an answer. Just keep pounding the pavement until you get the yeses that you need. That advice has really stuck with me throughout my career and helped me push through challenges and keep moving forward even when things get tough.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One challenge in our field is that interior designers can be vulnerable during economic downturns, often being among the first roles cut at architecture firms. Moving into flooring or finish-specialist roles can provide better pay and greater job security, which is both a challenge and an opportunity for professionals seeking stability.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Persistence, hard work, and determination guide both my professional and personal life. These values ensure I consistently deliver results and maintain integrity in all aspects of my work.
