About Christine

I am a grant writing and nonprofit development professional with over a decade of experience helping mission-driven organizations secure funding and achieve their goals. I am the Founder and CEO of Holistic Grant Services, a practice I established in January 2020, where I provide strategic-minded grant services to high-impact nonprofits, helping them navigate the complexities of grant funding and build sustainable development programs.

Prior to founding my own firm, I served as Director of Development and Communications at YouthLink MN for over a year, where I was a key leadership team member responsible for managing all aspects of fundraising and communications, completing a successful six-million-dollar capital campaign and generating one-point-seven million dollars in annual revenue. I also served as Associate Director of Grants and Development at YouthLink for six months, leading the agency's grant writing and development for all foundation, corporate, and government support.

Before that, I spent over three years at Fox Advancement, where I served as Managing Director of Grants, managing all grant writing staff and projects for the firm, writing compelling federal, state, local, and national grant proposals on behalf of a diverse group of Minnesota nonprofits, and writing over ninety grants in 2017 resulting in over three-point-two million dollars awarded. I also served as Senior Managing Associate, serving as lead grant writing consultant and providing client services including project management, prospect research, campaign planning, and donor stewardship.

Earlier in my career, I spent nearly three years at the Public Broadcasting Service in Washington DC, where I served as Senior Development Associate at the PBS Foundation, managing the Foundation's business affairs including grants writing and management, coordinating board meetings, maintaining the fundraising database, and developing external communications materials, and as Development Coordinator, processing philanthropic contributions, managing the Raiser's Edge database, and managing the Internship program. I also served as a Legal Assistant at Wiltshire & Grannis LLP, providing paralegal support including research, drafting documents, and cite-checking legal briefs.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Communications and Law and Society from American University, and I am certified in Grant Skills Essentials from The Grantsmanship Center and Raiser's Edge Essentials from Blackbaud.

Across my career in grant writing, nonprofit development, and strategic consulting, my work has been driven by a commitment to helping nonprofits secure the resources they need to make a lasting impact. Whether I am writing grant proposals, leading development teams, or consulting with organizations on their fundraising strategies, I bring a strategic mindset, a results-oriented approach, and a dedication to advancing the missions of the organizations I serve. I am proud of the work I have done throughout my career and excited to continue helping high-impact nonprofits thrive through Holistic Grant Services.
