Ten minutes with Christine
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my determination and the purpose behind my mission to help five million domestic violence survivors thrive and create the lives they want. My passion, perseverance, dedication, and drive motivate me to continue this work. I strongly believe that everyone deserves to feel worthy of a life they love. I also have a strong dislike for bullying, which reinforces my commitment to helping people recognize their value, overcome difficult experiences, and move forward with confidence.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I have received is that what you focus your thoughts on grows, and that teamwork makes the dream work. I believe our lives are shaped by what we believe, so developing positive habits and maintaining a constructive mindset are essential. It is important to take consistent daily action toward a bigger vision and view mistakes as feedback that helps us understand what may not work. I also believe we should not wait for opportunities to come to us; instead, we should take initiative and create those opportunities ourselves.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women to believe in themselves, build meaningful professional networks, and be willing to take chances. Develop positive habits, remain committed to personal growth, and do not wait for opportunities to appear. Take initiative, create your own opportunities, and have the confidence to pursue the life and career you envision.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I believe one of the most meaningful opportunities in this field is helping people improve their lives. Supporting individuals as they navigate difficult experiences, recognize their potential, and work toward a better future is deeply meaningful to me.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me are honesty, integrity, kindness, and empathy. I believe in treating people with compassion, being truthful and principled in my actions, and recognizing the worth of every individual. These values guide how I approach my work and how I build relationships in my personal life.
