About Christine
Christine Wong serves as CEO and founder of her private practice for family counseling. She entered the field in 2019 after a long career in business, motivated by the mental health stigma she observed in her upbringing and community. Wong offers culturally sensitive and clinically appropriate counseling to individuals and families, addressing stressors, trauma, and grief while emphasizing mental health and well-being across life stages. A Pepperdine alumna, she recently completed her dissertation and plans to write a book on mindset and self-development. She previously participated in marriage and family therapy organizations but is currently focused on her practice and projects. Outside her professional work, Wong enjoys racquet sports including tennis, ping pong, and pickleball, as well as travel and book clubs.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It starts with doing the research because it is an extensive amount of schooling. Interview people that already have done things that you enjoy to do and see if that is truly what you see for yourself. Ask questions like what are the pros and cons to this specific career. It is important to be informed in every decision.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Ongoing challenge around how people manage their day-to-day life with the current climate and how they respond to their own challenges in the workplace or challenges within their family systems.
