About Christy
Christy Davis is a museum professional and arts administrator with around 20 years of experience in the field. She began her path after earning a Bachelor's in Art Therapy, a Bachelor's in Psychology, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art, and a minor in Art History. She pursued graduate studies in Arts Administration at the University of Akron. Early in her career, she worked at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, starting at the front desk and advancing to curatorial assistant before becoming the first registrar hired there. In that role, she managed the collection, processed items into the database, and successfully led the museum through the accreditation process with the American Alliance of Museums. She later joined the Canton Museum of Art. Davis is actively involved in professional organizations, serving as president of the Ohio Local History Alliance and on the board of the Ohio Museum Association. She has also coached youth sports for many years, including girls middle school lacrosse and basketball.
