Chrystal Mincey

Chrystal Mincey is a Senior IT Technical Writer and Consultant whose professional expertise spans technical communication, cybersecurity documentation, business analysis, and government contracting. She specializes in developing software documentation, establishing documentation repositories, and preparing materials for Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) audits. Chrystal earned a Master of Arts in English with a concentration in Technical and Professional Communication from East Carolina University in 2000, building on her undergraduate studies in mass communications. Her career began in North Carolina's child support program before she transitioned into policy analysis with the District of Columbia government, business analysis with CareFirst, and federal government contracting, where she developed a strong focus on information technology and cybersecurity.

Beyond her consulting career, Chrystal is an entrepreneur and community advocate who maintains several professional and personal pursuits. She operates a virtual yoga studio based in North Carolina and serves as a communications director for a cycling club, applying her writing and outreach skills to support community initiatives. Through her cycling club, she has helped organize charitable collections of toiletries and essential supplies for individuals served by the Charles County Abused Persons program. Chrystal is also a doula and an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, where she shares an interest in maternal health advocacy, particularly efforts to address disparities affecting African American women during pregnancy and childbirth. Her diverse commitments reflect her dedication to using her skills and resources to support individuals, families, and communities.
