What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my journey from social work to case management and then a decade of teaching. Now, I am moving into a coaching role focused on empowering women. My goal is freedom—the time and space within my career to create and launch a business that builds, inspires, and supports other women.
I am most proud of overcoming the fear of being seen, embracing accountability, and starting something for myself. Taking those bold steps has been transformative both personally and professionally.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received came from my mentor, my principal Priscilla Mendez, a published author who overcame tough times with grace. Her guidance taught me resilience, perseverance, and the value of leading with authenticity.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to never be afraid to speak your truth. Do it scared, and do it anyway! There is no failure—only experience and growth that prepares you for what comes next.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Outside of work, I value being an active mother in my child’s education, spending time outdoors, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the beach. I embrace challenges and try anything I’m afraid of, living with honesty, authenticity, respect, and embracing individuality in all I do.
