Her Story
About Claire
I love music and grew up playing instruments at a performing arts high school. I went to Drexel University for the music business program, completed my degree, and moved to New York. I started at WME then UTA on the agency track but realized I wanted to be on the talent buying side working with venues and promoters. This past year I made the leap and have been successful with local promoting in New York, including curating the sold-out Circle Festival in Paris.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
As a woman in a male-dominated industry, know what you're worth and stand up for yourself. Have self-esteem, don't take unkind behavior, stand your ground, take risks, and have the courage to do things. Have integrity and be kind but know your worth.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Believe in yourself, trust your gut and instinct, stand up for yourself, and if you have an idea see it through. Take risks, follow your dreams, don't be afraid to say no, step outside your comfort zone. Get after it.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The economy is a big challenge with many festivals and shows shutting down because things are more expensive to produce after the pandemic, making it hard to hire people and produce events.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Respect is the biggest thing. Relationships go a long way - treat everybody with kindness and respect. Keep connections, be respectful and kind to others. Love connecting with people and living the human experience.
