About Clarenda
She is a visionary entrepreneur, philanthropic leader, and advocate for sustainable agriculture and social equity, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Green Heffa Farms, a vertically scaled, environmentally and socially minded organic wellness brand and farm in Liberty, North Carolina. As one of the nation's few Black woman-owned agricultural businesses, she produces botanical blends in the form of teas and steams, guided by the 4Es: Economic development, Environment, Equity, and Education. She also serves as Senior Advisory Consultant for Nature For Justice, where she advises on agriculture and organic farming initiatives. Her distinguished nonprofit fundraising career includes serving as Senior Principal Gifts Officer and Global Director of Development at The Nature Conservancy, where she developed strategies to build a more diverse and inclusive donor constituency, as Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Shaw University, and as Director of Development & Communications at the Lucy Daniels Center for Early Childhood. She is recognized as a strategic, mission-driven, and community-centered leader who combines entrepreneurial innovation with a deep commitment to philanthropy, environmental stewardship, and social justice.
