Her Interview

Ten minutes with Clarissa

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a commitment to lifelong learning, compassionate leadership, and a belief that meaningful change begins by investing in people. By combining evidence-based clinical practice with accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, I strive to create lasting positive outcomes for both clients and the teams I lead.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

To remember that being your authentic self is what makes you the best therapist.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Do not let anybody tell you what you cannot do. Always trust yourself. And follow your intuition.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the greatest challenges in treating eating disorders is that recovery requires healing both the mind and the body simultaneously. Supporting individuals as they challenge deeply ingrained beliefs, rebuild trust in themselves, and embrace lasting change is complex but incredibly rewarding.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My personal and professional values are deeply connected and guide the way I approach both life and leadership. I value compassion, authenticity, integrity, and connection, believing that every person deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Professionally, I am committed to excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth. I believe in creating environments where individuals feel supported, challenged, and empowered to achieve meaningful change. These values shape my commitment to providing high-quality care, developing strong teams, and advocating for recovery-focused, person-centered treatment.
