What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my upbringing. Growing up, I witnessed the challenges my single mother faced as she navigated life without speaking English. Through her example, I learned the importance of resilience and the value of helping others, no matter the circumstances.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to stay persistent. No matter how challenging things get, continuing to show up and move forward always pays off in the long run
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering this industry to take it day by day. There is only so much we can do to help others, so it’s important to focus on doing your best in the work you can control. Social work is challenging, but it requires a genuine heart and dedication to make a meaningful impact.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is navigating the complex needs of our clients and the systems that serve them. But that’s also what makes the work so rewarding—being able to guide someone to resources that truly improve their life is an incredible opportunity.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Compassion, accountability, and resilience are key for me. I want to make a meaningful impact at work by supporting clients fully, and in life, I focus on being present, honest, and reliable for the people I care about
