Her Story

About Claudia

Claudia Chanax is an industrial engineer based in Baytown, Texas. With approximately 2 to 3 years of experience in her field and having recently graduated from graduate school as a first-generation college student, she has pursued her education while working full-time and serving her community through church ministries. In addition to her professional work, Claudia leads the worship team, coordinates the media team, serves as youth pastor mentoring middle and high school students, and organizes prayer community events. She values integrity, encouragement, hard work, and especially teamwork, as demonstrated by her passion for reuniting engineers and welders to collaboratively create buildings and structures. Claudia attributes her success to the hard work and perseverance instilled by her parents and her faith in God, which helped her overcome challenges. Looking ahead, she hopes to lead teams of engineers on construction sites and one day start her own construction industrial business, building structures from the ground up while creating generational change.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Claudia

01What do you attribute your success to?

It has to do with the way I was raised, with my parents instilling hard work and the grind in us. Also my faith in God, who helped me persevere in moments when I thought I wouldn't make it. Remembering who was watching helped me not give up.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Even if the journey in school seems hard at times, you can still fight through because life gets in the way sometimes. Persevere through financial struggles or difficult courses, and your dream will come through. It's about proving to yourself and creating generational change.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity, encouragement, hard work, and teamwork. Teamwork is key because I love reuniting engineers and welders to work together to create buildings, as it's not just one person but many coming together.
