Her Interview

Ten minutes with Claudia

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the exceptional mentors who inspired and guided me early in my recruiting career, instilling in me a genuine passion for the profession and demonstrating the value of perseverance and expertise. I am equally motivated by the opportunity to help candidates achieve meaningful career milestones, whether securing a promotion, obtaining a new position, or reaching their desired compensation. Knowing that these accomplishments can positively transform someone's life is what continues to drive and inspire me.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

One of the most valuable lessons I have received came from my mentor, Joseph Cohen, during my time at MSI International. He taught me the importance of persistence, tenacity, and believing in the process of finding the right candidate, even when the search is challenging. His guidance showed me that successful recruiting is built on determination, patience, and a commitment to looking beyond the obvious. Those principles continue to shape my approach today, reminding me that investing the time and effort to find the best match ultimately creates lasting success for both clients and candidates.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice is to pay close attention to detail and look beyond what is immediately visible on a résumé. Some of the most exceptional candidates may not perfectly match every requirement on paper, so it is important to understand the complete story behind their experience and present them fairly. As recruiting continues to evolve with artificial intelligence, I believe it is essential to maintain a human-centered approach that values empathy, thoughtful evaluation, and meaningful personal connections throughout the hiring process.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I believe one of the greatest opportunities—and challenges—in recruiting is the rapid integration of artificial intelligence into the hiring process. While AI can improve efficiency, it should complement rather than replace human judgment. Another ongoing challenge is identifying highly specialized technical and engineering talent while ensuring every candidate receives thoughtful, individualized consideration.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Fairness and enthusiasm are the values that guide both my professional and personal life. I believe everyone deserves a fair opportunity to demonstrate their potential, and I strive to approach every candidate and client relationship with integrity, respect, and genuine enthusiasm for helping people succeed.
