Clementine Uwineza is an accomplished quality and operations leader with 18 years of professional experience spanning global manufacturing, medical, aerospace, and defense industries. She currently serves as Corporate Supplier Quality Lead at RTX, where she drives quality strategy, business transformation, process improvement, and operational excellence across diverse business units and portfolios. With the last four years dedicated to aerospace and defense, Uwineza is committed to advancing quality practices that support safer, more reliable products and services while enhancing both organizational performance and employee experiences.
Uwineza began her career in heavy manufacturing at John Deere, where she progressed into a global management role overseeing supplier quality initiatives and collaborating with teams across international markets. After gaining additional experience in the medical field, she transitioned into aerospace and defense, motivated by the opportunity to contribute to an industry where quality directly impacts safety and the lives of passengers worldwide. Her expertise includes supplier quality management, strategic planning, quality transformation, process optimization, auditing, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve sustainable improvements.
A graduate in Industrial Engineering, Uwineza developed a strong foundation in process optimization, problem-solving, and collaborative leadership. She is deeply committed to professional development and community impact, actively supporting organizations such as the Society of Women Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, and American Society for Quality, where she has contributed for more than 20 years. Beyond her corporate leadership, she serves as Founder and Operations Director of the Tasukete Abandi Foundation, focusing on education, empowerment, and creating opportunities for sustainable community growth. Guided by her faith, humility, and dedication to lifelong learning, Uwineza continues to inspire others through her commitment to excellence, collaboration, and purposeful leadership.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith and the guidance I have received throughout my journey. I believe that God has provided me with the strength, wisdom, and opportunities needed to overcome challenges and achieve my goals. My accomplishments are a reflection of perseverance, gratitude, and the belief that with faith and dedication, I can continue to grow both personally and professionally.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is to never hesitate to ask for help and recognize that continuous learning is essential for growth. No one has all the answers, and surrounding yourself with knowledgeable, experienced individuals creates opportunities to learn and improve. I believe in seeking out environments where I can collaborate with others, embrace different perspectives, and contribute as part of a strong team. True success comes from teamwork, collaboration, and the willingness to learn from those around you.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to embrace curiosity, seek opportunities to learn, and never be afraid to ask questions. Growth comes from being open to new experiences, gaining knowledge from others, and actively seeking guidance from those with expertise. By staying curious, building relationships, and continuously expanding their skills, young women can develop confidence and create meaningful opportunities for success.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges and opportunities in my field stem from operating in an increasingly complex and rapidly changing environment. Factors such as geopolitical issues, global conflicts, natural disasters, pandemics, and rapid technological advancements, including artificial intelligence, continue to reshape the industry landscape. Success requires the ability to remain flexible, adaptable, and innovative while maintaining a strong commitment to quality standards and meeting evolving customer needs. These challenges also create opportunities to develop new solutions, improve processes, and strengthen resilience in a dynamic global environment.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me most in both my work and personal life are faith, humility, and a commitment to continuous learning. God is at the center of everything I do, providing the foundation for how I approach challenges, relationships, and opportunities. I believe in remaining humble, staying open to new perspectives, and recognizing that there is always something to learn from others. Every room I enter is an opportunity to grow, listen, and gain knowledge that helps me become a better individual and professional.
