About Coralys
Coralys Rivera is a project manager with three years of experience in the field. She graduated high school in Puerto Rico and initially attended NC State College of Design with an interest in industrial design before transferring to the Poole College of Management at NC State. She is expected to graduate in May 2027 while minoring in entrepreneurship. Her professional experience includes serving as a construction manager at the Appalachia Service Project, a non-profit focused on eradicating substandard housing, where she gained hands-on management experience with volunteers and homeowners. This summer, she is working as a digital marketing and merchandising intern at the same organization, handling content creation for social media platforms, editing, sales reports, and designing upcoming merchandise lines. Rivera's path to project management stems from her desire to combine organizational skills and task delegation with diverse interests, allowing her to leverage her design background in a business context.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Just make sure that the way you're thinking about it, the way you're planning to go about it is linear, but open yourself to many other ways you can go about it, and that's how you'll finally find exactly what's meant for you out there. Whatever you end up pursuing, as long as you're doing it with a hardworking ethic, and you're committing to it, then I feel like you should be definitely expectant of your results.
