Her Interview

Ten minutes with Corri

01What do you attribute your success to?

It's a calling for me. The things that have happened in my life, I've had trauma and abuse, and in my mind I experienced those things so that I could help someone else get through them. That's why I believe I'm here. And I love helping people. I get excited when I meet somebody and I'm doing an intake, and I just can't wait to ask them this and we're going to talk about that. It's exhilarating to me just to be able to help people.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Joyce Meyer "Do it Afraid" !

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Follow your passion. Learn as much as you can. I was strategic with working in different areas so that I could figure out what I liked and what worked for me. I think that is important to do because there are so many different areas and directions you can go. So learn all you can before you try to step out there on your own.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is the business part of it. Charging for no-shows and late fees. You don't want to have to do that but you have to still operate your passion and compassion with being a business person and sticking to the rules. Just keeping my schedule full and marketing and all of that.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My values are to live my purpose and to do things in life that will benefit others and the world as a whole. So I don't think of my career as a job. It's a calling for me. My style is authenticity and honesty and it works for me and my clients. Something that they really appreciate and something that I try to make sure that I own up to.
