Her Interview

Ten minutes with Corrinne

01What do you attribute your success to?

It's everyone who came before me who paved the way. The ancestors that cross over that middle passage. They called my name. The prayers of the people who came before me to say that I can sit in this seat, and I can be victorious.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Just breathe. There's never been anything called a learning and development emergency. Understand life happens, mistakes happen, but just breathe, and always follow up and follow through.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

With the state of the economy being recession-based, resources can be very lean. The first thing that is cut are learning and development departments and teams because organizations might not see it as being a strong investment.
