Courtney Batt, LMHC, is a dedicated behavioral health professional with extensive experience in mental health counseling and program supervision. Currently serving as Life Management Supervisor at BayCare Health System, she oversees a team of therapists providing comprehensive behavioral health services in Pinellas County, Florida. Courtney’s leadership is rooted in her commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment that empowers both staff and clients to achieve optimal outcomes.
With over a decade of experience in mental health care, Courtney has developed expertise in adult outpatient counseling, community-based therapy programs, and group therapy facilitation. She has held roles ranging from Program Therapist at Fairwinds Treatment Center to Behavioral Health Therapist Liaison and Supervisor of Community-Based Adult Outpatient Programs at Directions for Living. Her practical knowledge and compassionate approach allow her to guide clients and colleagues through complex behavioral health challenges, advocating for individualized care and evidence-based practices.
Courtney holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from SUNY Fredonia. She is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and is deeply committed to lifelong learning and professional growth. Outside of her professional work, Courtney enjoys hiking and spending quality time with her 8-year-old Pomeranian, Rosie, reflecting her belief in balance and wellness in both personal and professional life.

The best career advice I’ve received is to surround myself with good staff and always prioritize self-care. Maintaining balance and well-being allows me to provide the best care for others.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering this field to take each day one step at a time. Celebrate both the victories and the setbacks, knowing that every interaction has the potential to positively impact someone’s life.
