Her Story
About Courtney
Courtney Friedle is the Oncology Care Area Leader at GE HealthCare, where she oversees the Heartland territory, spanning Chicago, the Dakotas, and Iowa. In this position, she works closely with customers and account teams to identify oncology program needs and match them with GE HealthCare's products and services, favoring a relationship-driven, solutions-based approach over transactional selling. Her career spans more than three decades in the healthcare field, beginning as a radiologic technologist before training as a radiation therapist, a transition that deepened her commitment to oncology through the long-term patient relationships the specialty allowed her to build. The bulk of Friedle's career unfolded in radiation oncology administration, most notably during her many years at MyMichigan Health, where she advanced from clinical and management roles into broader systems leadership. She later moved into industry, taking on positions with ViewRay and Varian before joining GE HealthCare in her current capacity. Alongside her clinical training, she earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of St. Francis and went on to complete her MBA at Northwood University's DeVos Graduate School in 2015, further strengthening her business and leadership acumen. Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Friedle currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for Cancer Services, a nonprofit organization, and has previously held membership and board roles with the Society of Radiation Oncology Administrators and the Association of Cancer Executives. Her contributions were recognized twice with the Most Valuable Person Award during her tenure at MyMichigan Health. Guided by a strong work ethic and a lifelong dedication to learning, Friedle places integrity, compassion, teamwork, excellence, and accountability at the center of both her professional and personal life, and she remains passionate about mentoring the next generation of women in healthcare to speak up and claim their place in the room.
