Courtney Kramer, M.S., is a seasoned aviation professional with over twenty years of experience in airline operations, currently serving as the Manager of Crew Planning and Resources at Air Transport International, Inc. She has built her career across multiple regional airlines, developing deep expertise in crew scheduling, training and qualifications, as well as resource management. Courtney combines operational knowledge with academic rigor, holding a Master’s in Business Management with a focus in Marketing and pursuing a Doctoral Business Administration degree focused discipline on Management. Her educational background supports her strategic approach to crew planning and leadership in the cargo aviation sector, where she navigates unique operational challenges distinct from passenger airlines services.

Throughout her career, Courtney has demonstrated a passion for supply chain management and operational efficiency. Prior to her current role at ATI, she held progressive positions at Envoy Air, Endeavor Air, and Pinnacle Airlines, honing her skills in crew scheduling, tracking, and planning. Her leadership philosophy emphasizes team engagement, mentorship, and fostering a culture where employees feel valued and supported. Outside of her professional life, Courtney is an avid traveler, taking full advantage of her airline career to explore destinations around the world, from the Caribbean to the South Pacific. She shares these adventures with her French Bulldog, Olive Mae, who accompanies her on many trips. What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to starting small and seizing every opportunity—beginning with a regional airline in Maryland, working my way into a supervisor role in Memphis, TN, and eventually joining American Eagle Airlines as a Crew Planner in Dallas. Hard work, persistence, and a love for travel have kept me motivated and growing in my career.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my mentor, Kim Roland, she taught me to find my replacement and teach them. My mother, Leigh Kramer—inspired me to pursue what I love, provided guidance throughout my career, and gave me unwavering support.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to come with an open mind, pursue what inspires you, stay curious, and remember that learning never stops.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in work and life are authenticity and integrity—your work reflects who you are, so I always give 100%. I’m also proud of mentoring other women in managerial roles and helping them expand their knowledge.
