Ten minutes with Courtney
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
There is no dream job that doesn't exist. Whatever it is you want to do, that thing exists. You really don't have to limit yourself or put yourself in a box, because the perfect career for you and the perfect position exists. I believe a lot in manifestation.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Create a portfolio of your work and get creative. Use research or audits on companies you like and put it in your portfolio. Do companies that you like or look up to. Work doesn't have to feel like work when it's your passion.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Opportunities: learning how to work with AI as a tool for campaigns, social listening, and editing. Get certified in HubSpot or Hootsuite. Challenges: economy making it difficult to break into new roles; start entry-level as companies promote from within.
