Courtney Plunkett
Courtney Plunkett is a seasoned design consultant and mentor at Furnitureland South, Inc., bringing more than a decade of experience in retail management across both corporate and privately owned businesses. In her current role, she specializes in sales and interior design consulting, where she is known for delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting client relationships. With over six years at Furnitureland South, Courtney has established herself as a trusted partner to clients and real estate professionals alike, helping them transform spaces while growing strong, referral-based networks.
Prior to her work in design consulting, Courtney spent more than ten years as an Assistant Manager with Palm Avenue, where she developed deep expertise in team leadership, operations, and customer engagement. Her early career also includes management experience in specialty retail, which laid the foundation for her people-first approach and her ability to align business goals with meaningful customer experiences. Across every role, Courtney’s focus has remained consistent: creating value through relationships, service, and thoughtful design.
Courtney holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from High Point University, a background that strongly informs her mentoring style and client-centered philosophy. Outside of her professional work, she is an active fundraising volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association, participating annually in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Passionate about design, growth, and community impact, Courtney continues to push herself creatively and professionally as she looks toward the next chapter in her career.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to growing up around retail my entire life, with parents who were deeply rooted in the industry and had a huge influence on shaping my work ethic, customer-first mindset, and passion for what I do.
