Her Story

About Courtney

I initially got introduced to the sports and entertainment world when I was a sophomore in college around 2017-2018, when a sorority sister introduced me to working in sports for the University of Alabama. I held several internships including working for the Crimson Tide Foundation, academics for the football team, and Crimson Tide Hospitality in the premium club spaces. I really fell in love with the sports entertainment world and the passion behind it, so I switched my major to hospitality management with a concentration in events and meetings. In the summer of 2019, I interned with the Washington Redskins (now the Commanders) under their charitable foundation as a program intern, and that was the turning point for me in realizing this is what I want to do for my career. I love hosting events, getting to know clients and attendees, and making their event come to life, especially in an NFL stadium. Two days before I graduated with my master's in 2021, I got offered a job as an events coordinator for the University of Alabama's Alumni Association, where I hosted events for the board and got promoted about a year later to assistant director of affinity programs. In that role, I was over all of our events and our international and domestic travel program, working with 10 different travel companies and operating 40 trips for alumni throughout the year. I even got to go to Africa with my mom, fully paid for, which was an experience of a lifetime. In fall of 2023, I applied for an events coordinator position with the Tennessee Titans. Working in Nashville and for the Titans has always been my number one dream and goal. I had actually applied a year prior and didn't get it, but when they reposted the job, I went for it again, re-interviewed with all the same people who remembered me, and I got the job. I moved to Nashville about 3 weeks later and was hired as an event coordinator on the servicing side, coordinating and planning all of the special private events in Nissan Stadium. About a year ago, I got promoted to manager of special event services, so now I lead our team of 3 event services coordinators and we operate all of our special events in Nissan Stadium.

01What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I definitely have a very strong personal brand, and I've been told that by a lot of my coworkers and my boss. I just love to be a helping hand wherever I can be. I am a leader on our team, and I take much pride, and I value, and I'm very blessed for the position I'm in. But I do love just being that go-to person that people can trust and rely on things getting done, and even if it's a job that necessarily I am not used to doing, or it's new to me, I will step in and help in any way, shape, or fashion that I can.
