Her Interview

Ten minutes with Courtney

01What do you attribute your success to?

I've had a lot of really great people along the way that have helped mold me and teach me. Being willing to take risks and getting outside of my comfort zone has been key. The uncomfortable career changes are where I really thrived and grew.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Showing up with how you want others to see you, not from a place of fear or unsureness. Come off confident, be proactive, have good plans in place, and always be a couple steps ahead.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The world is your oyster. It's never too late to make a career switch or go after something you're interested in. Focus on networking, treat people well, deliver good work so others speak highly of you, put your best foot forward, and be the best version of yourself.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Never a dull moment with constant new things pushed at us. Complexity of daily work and fires that come up. Working for one of the biggest companies means constant change, driving new processes and innovations. Keeping up with changes requires being super adaptable, agile, and able to learn new things quickly.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Kindness - be kind to everybody, lift up others, treat people with kindness and empathy. Constant learning and growth mentality - never done learning, stay curious and develop personally and professionally. Give 100% - always do something to the best of your ability, go above and beyond, have a good work ethic and deliver the highest quality.
