Her Story

About Courtney

Courtney Tucker serves as a collegiate softball coach and assistant professor at Voorhees University, where she is approaching her third year in the role. With about 20 years of experience in coaching, she began her collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant and has developed expertise in mentorship, player development, and the recruiting process. Tucker earned her undergraduate degree from North Carolina Wesleyan University in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and completed two master's degrees at Liberty University, one in management and leadership and the other in sports administration and sports management. She is a member of the NFCA, the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association, and serves as chair of the softball committee for her conference. In addition to her coaching and teaching responsibilities, Tucker founded a nonprofit around 2020 to introduce softball to underrepresented girls, combining her passion for the sport with travel by hosting camps in the Bahamas and planning one in Ghana.
