01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It's a great industry to get into. It doesn't really require a lot of focus or extra information. You're just simply making purchases with the company, so I think that it's a great way for someone who's getting out of college to go, because it's a simple career. You can do it in any company in the world, because they all need something. They all need buyers. Anywhere in the world.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The purchasing career changes daily. Depending on what or who you're purchasing for, a lot of people are changing their policies, the purchasing software changes. So it's just trying to stay abreast of all the different changes within the industry. Also, everything changed with the economy.
