Ten minutes with Courtney
01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I give young women a lot of advice around the language they use to communicate and how to position themselves to really have their voice taken more seriously. It's saying things like, I believe this is an idea because of XYZ, instead of saying, I feel like we should do this. I'm also big on SMART goals, and setting very specific goals for yourself above and beyond what the organization has for you.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The first challenge that comes to mind is AI. It's been disheartening that there's kind of AI... there's a lot of our facilitators who, you know, put their heart and soul into the courses that we deliver and now there's programs people can go to, and they just want to develop their own content instead. And they can do typing in three sentences, and it'll spit out a course, you know, but they'll loss of that human element.
