She began her healthcare career after earning an associate degree in Radiography and an associate degree in MRI from Kellogg Community College in 2013 and later pursued additional education, including a bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley, to advance her expertise in MRI technology. She is ARRT licensed and a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT). In her current role, Courtney specializes in MRI and has her certification as an MR Safety Officer through the American Board of Magnetic Safety, applying her knowledge of magnetic resonance safety to support safe and effective imaging practices. She is continuing her professional development as she prepares for the safety expert examination. Her professional skills include MRI, X-ray, patient safety, customer service, problem-solving, and other areas essential to delivering dependable healthcare services. Courtney’s commitment to healthcare is rooted in a longstanding desire to help others while building a stable future for her family. Before establishing herself in medical imaging, she spent nearly a decade working as a nurse aide and previously supported individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illness through group-home roles at Residential Opportunities Incorporated. These experiences strengthened her compassion, resilience, and dedication to serving others, qualities that continue to guide her work as an MRI Technologist and patient safety professional.
