Her Interview
Ten minutes with Cristin
01What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is seeing the same individuals receiving services at multiple facilities and multiple levels of care. I use person-centered language because they are humans.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty and integrity are most important. Being honest about my lived experience with the population we serve is key because they can spot inauthenticity. Honesty also prevents burnout in this emotionally and spiritually heavy work.
