About Cristina Antoni
Annie Young, is a Customer Experience Professional working in the industrial sector, with a focus on concrete dispatch and customer service. She brings more than two decades of customer service experience to her career, having begun working professionally in 1997. Her background includes extensive customer-facing experience, dispatch-related responsibilities, and leadership experience in which she has emphasized excellent service and making customers feel important and valued. Annie holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and is a registered nurse, although nursing was not ultimately the career path she chose to pursue. She also completed some master’s-level studies, although those programs were not completed. Her professional journey has included working with U.S. companies while based in the Philippines, as well as serving as a Directress of a technical school where she shared her knowledge and experience with students. She moved from the Philippines to the United States in 2018 and continued developing her career in customer service and operations. Throughout her career, Annie Young has been recognized through awards including Employee of the Year, Customer Obsessed Awards, and Champion Awards. She attributes her professional success to persistence, effective communication, and a strong work ethic. Her professional philosophy centers on delivering excellent customer service and ensuring that clients feel valued and important. She also emphasizes reliability, punctuality, commitment, and maintaining a positive perspective when facing setbacks, viewing failure as an opportunity to learn rather than a reason to stop pursuing one’s goals.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to persistence, strong communication skills, and a solid work ethic. I believe that continuing to move forward, communicating effectively with others, and consistently giving my best effort have been important factors throughout my career.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The career philosophy that has guided me is to view failure as a learning opportunity rather than a setback. I believe setbacks can provide valuable lessons and should not prevent us from moving forward. Maintaining a positive outlook, continuing to work hard, and learning from each experience are important parts of professional growth.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women not to let fear of failure keep them from pursuing opportunities. In a competitive environment, it is important to participate, take chances, and continue moving forward rather than allowing fear to prevent progress. Every experience, including setbacks, can become an opportunity to learn and grow.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Learning the product, its process and the whole industry. However, as a woman even if we say that it is a man’s job, we should always favor in a positive outlook and should not allow ourselves to think that we could not do any better even if we are in a man’s world.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
As mentioned earlier, I would encourage young women not to let fear of failure keep them from pursuing opportunities. We are living in a competitive environment, it is important to participate, take chances, and continue moving forward rather than allowing fear to prevent progress. All experiences including setbacks, can become an opportunity to learn and grow and because of learning that no one can ever take away from you and because of growth that you get when you don’t give up then makes you stronger and be at your best at all times.
