Cristina J. Bazaldua

Strategic communications and public affairs leader with extensive experience in campaign management, philanthropy, and community engagement. Currently serving as chief creative officer at Creative by Cristina, delivering consulting services across public relations, government affairs, media strategy, and bilingual communications for organizations, municipalities, and nonprofits.

Previously held leadership roles in development and philanthropy, including director of development at ABC of Southwest Texas and regional philanthropy officer at the American Red Cross, where she drove fundraising initiatives, cultivated donor relationships, and advanced mission-driven programs across Central and South Texas.

Also served as a public relations and communications consultant for the César E. Chávez Legacy and Educational Foundation, leading strategic campaigns, media relations, and large-scale event communications to increase public engagement and awareness. Earlier, led communications for the City of San Antonio’s “Taking Care of SA” bond campaign, managing outreach, messaging, and stakeholder engagement for a major public infrastructure initiative.
