About Cristina
I am a passionate language educator and advocate for multilingual learning, with experience teaching Spanish and English while supporting English Language Learners in diverse educational environments.
Currently, I serve as ELL Coordinator and Spanish Teacher at Equality Charter School, where I help students strengthen their language skills, build academic confidence, and succeed in a multicultural learning environment. I also support student development through programs such as the Summer Math Bridge Program, helping middle school students transition into high school successfully.
In 2023, I had the opportunity to teach internationally at Kaennakhon Witthayalai School in Thailand through XploreAsia, where I taught ESL to students ages 13–16 using the Direct Method to enhance speaking, listening, writing, and grammar skills.
Earlier in my career, I taught Spanish at Bridgeport Public Schools and worked with The Spanish Language School, expanding my experience in language instruction across both in-person and virtual learning environments.
I’m passionate about culturally responsive education, language acquisition, and empowering students to become confident global communicators.
