What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to leading by example, showing my daughter that it is possible to be a successful businesswoman while also dedicating myself to helping and supporting elders. Balancing ambition with service has been the cornerstone of my journey, and it continues to inspire both my personal and professional growth.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that patience is a virtue in everything. Taking the time to listen, learn, and grow allows opportunities to unfold and long-term success to take shape.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to find a mentor. Having someone to guide you, share their experiences, and provide insight into the steps they took to reach their current position can be invaluable. Learning from their journey helps you navigate challenges, make informed decisions, and accelerate your own growth.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is learning and staying up-to-date with all the laws in Oregon. Navigating the complex legal landscape presents both a challenge and an opportunity, as mastering these regulations allows me to provide more informed guidance and create stronger, compliant solutions in my work.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important value to me in both my work and personal life is honesty. Being truthful and transparent builds trust, fosters strong relationships, and creates a foundation for integrity and meaningful success. I am married for 28 years, have two daughters aged 28 and 24, and serve as the caretaker for my mother, which has strengthened my commitment to family, responsibility, and compassion.
