Her Story
About Crystal
Crystal Kasper is a clinical counselor and elementary educator based in Grandville, Michigan, currently practicing at Quantum Mental Health Wellness Center while pursuing a doctoral program in educational leadership. She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus on Child and Adolescent Disorders from Grand Canyon University, completed in 2026, and carries both a Limited License Professional Counselor certification and a Michigan Teacher Certificate. Before transitioning into counseling, she spent four years working as a K-8 educator, an experience that continues to inform the way she connects with clients today. Kasper's counseling approach centers on cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques, applied through hands-on experience gained as a counseling intern at Aquinas College's counseling center and at D.A. Blodgett - St. John's. Across these roles, she has focused on building safe, supportive spaces where adolescents and adults can work through their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop individualized goals that evolve with each client's needs. She remains active in K-8 tutoring, continuing to support students academically even as her primary focus has shifted toward mental health counseling. Outside of her clinical work, Kasper is an active member of the American Counseling Association, Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Chi, and the NBCC community, and she enjoys gardening, fishing, and spending time in nature. As the first in her family to earn a college degree, she draws on her own journey of overcoming personal and academic obstacles to guide clients through their own life transitions, and she remains committed to the values of hard work, positivity, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those she serves.
